Requirements for acoustic parameters of external partitions in residential buildings are presented in PN-B-02151-3: 1999 in the table below.
Table 1. Required resultant sound insulation, approximate, external walls with windows.
The minimum resultant assessment of the specific sound insulation approximate RA2, or RA1 in dB, depending on the authoritative sound level A in dB during the day / night outside the building.
2 * Requirements are determined individually.
Standard standard windows have a Rw coefficient of 25-30 dB, while windows installed in areas with high traffic should have a high acoustic class, at least Rw 40 dB.
