Zagroda is a complex of farm and residential buildings of a small farm with the yard and surroundings.

The farm consists of a residential house (cottage) and outbuildings: (barns, barns, granary). Buildings are usually surrounded by a fence and set around the inner yard.

Farm types:
open: buildings do not touch each other, they are free-standing,
compact: buildings touch each other,
closed: the yard is closely surrounded by buildings or buildings connected by a fence and gate; e.g. circular, Gadzda.
